The Naantali Music Festival starts the series of summer festivals in Finland every year - next year it is celebrating its 31st anniversary, in the sunny seaside town of Naantali. The old idyllic wooden houses, the medieval Convent Church and high-class restaurant and accommodation services provide a unique setting for a memorable musical experience.
The festival programme consists of more than 20 high-class concerts in the old Convent Church and in the smaller churches in the region. Night concerts, cruises, a concert with a dinner in Naantalin Kaivohuone, concert in a park, a concert in Theatre Emma as well as the Canine Kalevala, a hilarious opera for the whole family.
The artistic director, cellist Arto Noras compiles an excellent programme including the most beautiful chamber music, old and new, from near and far, performed by top artists.
